Empty Backpack Campaign...web address

Well, some say new ideas are hard to come by ... the NMAA team has just discovered a great organization and website, Beyond Orders, that was set up to match up soldiers' requests for kids stuff to donors in the US. Although it states it is for Iraq, we have been told that Afghanistan is part of it as well and have permission to solicit from it. We have put up a request for backpacks and school supplies and we have already gotten some support.

Click on the following for more information:

Website: Beyond Orders
Our specifiic request link: NMAA Specific Request

I’d ask that if you've reached this blog, that you consider passing the Beyond Orders web address along to family and friends, religious, patriotic, and charitable groups that you may have contacts with and ask them to pass it along as well. While we will certainly accept any supplies directly, there are also similar units and people doing the same thing. Any support we steer towards this organization would be great. Thanks!

The need here in the Kabul Afghanistan is so great we can never get too many supplies. So, you can either contribute through Beyond Orders at the link above, or continue donations directly to NMAA at the following address:

LTC Scott Hamilton
NMAA-KAIA
APO AE 09354

Thanks to all of those that have donated supplies and please keep it coming. And, special thanks to Steve Laveirge for designing our Colorado for Kabul Kids website.
